The Secret Excellence is a good hotel/resort. I don’t know if they have a casino. But like all the hotels in PuntaCana/Bavaro outside there is not much to do, it is a bit isolated from next town (45 miles) so I think there is enough activities to do to keep you busy at night. As of 1/1/2007 the resort is no longer run by Secrets, it is the Excellence Punta Cana…………
I visited Secres Excellence-Punta Cana about two years ago and found the resort to have nice restaurants and a friendly staff of workers. We visited only one evening and had a wonderful meal at the Mexican restaurant on site. Secrets Excellence Punta Cana is located on a secluded part of Punta Cana’s coastline about 50 minutes from the airport.
The packages normally include complimentary transfers from the Punta Cana airport.
This adults only all-inclusive resort has several features that make it ideal for all inclusive honeymoons, caribbean weddings, and romantic getaways. The resort runs parallel to the beach, instead of just a small portion on the beach with the lobby a mile inland. All rooms are at least junior suites (roomy), and come with oversized jacuzzi tubs, stocked mini bars, and 24 hour room service. This resort caters to the American market, so English is more fluent. TIPS:
Sign up early for your romantic dinner and the horseback riding and the champagne breakfast in bed. It’s so fun. The dominican cowboys don’t speak Englais….so its very interesting. Beautiful country and beautiful beaches at sunset.

The moonlight horseback ride is a special memory and you’ll see about a million more stars than you’ve ever seen on very gentle and smart horses.

Don’t forget to take proof of marriage to the Dominican Republic.

Take advantage of the 24 hour room service.

Enjoy the Coco Locos, but beware, they’’ll make you crazy.

The Secrets Excellence Club is worth the extra money. Unless you 100% absolutely can’’t afford it, you must have the excellence treatment.

Drink all the bottled water you can. With the cool ocean breezes, and the intense sun, you can dehydrate easy.

If you can there is a day trip/excursion to Saona island that is really beautiful. Not much to do at night but once you are down there it doesnt really matter. It does have a casino and is probably the best place in PC Its gorgeous once you read the reviews you will be happy. They also have a honeymoon package–rose petals in your room sparkling wine fruit plate breakfast in bed etc at no extra cost.
