The odds are totally in favor of the house. That’s why I play Blackjack. If you don’t know how, the dealer and other players will be happy to show you. It’s really very easy, you are simply trying to get as close to 21 as you can without busting.
My husband and I will usually play until we are up 100.00 each, then get up, have a meal compted, then leave. The trick is to leave when your ahead. If you set there to long, the house will win their money back. Also, when looking for a table, look at the dealers chips, if they have alot, don’t go to that table. If their rack looks low, then they are doing some pay outs, pick that table.
I’d say there are a few, just like the lottery. Last time I was in Vegas, someone had just won $12m at the Wynn. Now I’m guessing this is more money than he has ever put into a slot in his life. But of course, this guy was the exception and not the rule.
If you play slots you can expect to lose an average of 2-10% of every dollar you put in over the long term. Depending on how you play and where you play. Different machines have different house edges. Also these figures are long term. It is pretty easy to blow a grand in a few hours. On a high stakes machine you can blow a grand in minutes.
There is no such thing as a person who can steadily win anything gambling, including slots. Yes you can have nice wins here and there. But take anyone who goes to the casino reguarly for the last two years and EVERYONE will be down. Some might be lucky and be around even or just a little down but no one is really up.
People who say you can’t win at ANY game don’t know what they’re talking about, but slots are no winnable. I personally am ahead lifetime on slots: I put $50 in a $5 machine once and cashed out with $2500. I’ve never put more than a dollar in since.
If you like playing machines, stick with video poker. If you find the right machines, play correctly, and get comped, you can actually come out ahead at video poker. There are actually people who make a ‘living’ playing video poker, with their comped rooms, meals, show tickets, etc.
Always against you.

The slots are always against you. THe only way to win is by poker or sportsbetting. Of course you can win at slots too, but mostly luck.
